So yesterday, me n Alexx got engaged.

Back in July, we'd been talking about what we'd have done if she didn't have to leave in October/November, and it turned out that we had both made plans to propose to each other somewhere around the 3 year anniversary mark without actually telling one another about it. Considering we were gonna be apart for that mark, we decided we had to do it while we could still be together.

So yesterday, we went to this scenic spot at the foot of Cabot Tower here in Bristol, waited for some privacy, and one at a time, we proposed to each other and gave each other our engagement rings. Originally I was going to propose to her at the base of the tower, and she was going to propose to me at the top of the tower, but we decided not to break up the moment and just go for both then and there. It was pretty overwhelming - Alexx cried most of her make-up off, and we both kept laughing in a weird mix of relief and disbelief. Both me and Alexx had had doubts beforehand, but as soon as we'd done it, we knew we'd have been kicking ourselves if we hadn't.

It was a really emotional day, and it feels weird that I'm actually planning to marry someone, and that I'm probably going to be moving to Canada at some point before the end of next year. Considering everything I've said before about growing up being overrated, I seem to be doing an awful lot of it in a very short space of time, eh?

Somebody forgot to tell me that you are grown up when you are married!
I'm married on my fifth year, and while the birth certificate claims I'm in my 30's, I still feel like I'm notnot an responsible adult...

It sounds like it is the right thing for the two of you, so a big congratulations to the both of you
