In all seriousness though, if you're able to vote, you should probably vote Remain. If the EU was the US election, the EU would be Hillary and leaving would be Trump. Sure, Hillary doesn't really inspire much enthusiasm for most people, but god knows what Trump'll do - all we know is that it's probably not gonna be good. Except with the EU we know it's not going to be good because of the unanimity of expert analysis saying "hey, this'll definitely screw us over in the short term". Medium to long term, estimates vary, but it still looks like the odds are better in the stay camp - at least for now.

I considered advocating a Leave vote, after reading some analysis that mapped out a very plausible route from a Leave vote to a new general election, but the party most likely to gain from that scenario would be UKIP. Labour might do well, but whether it'd be enough to actually win, that's another matter. So yeh, the only part of a Leave vote that would make things better - the collapse of the Conservative government - is unlikely to play out in the right way, and if it doesn't play that way, then it'd just make everything worse.

So yeh, the EU's not that great, but if it is the right move to leave, now's not the time.
