Most people who think this way usually think about the case of a fire, in which case outward opening doors would allow for easy exit even if there was panic, and the fire extinguisher could be used as a fire extinguisher. But yeh, sometimes when I'm in a new place, the zombie scenario pops into my head, and I try to think about how I could use what's around me to try to survive. It'd probably be more useful if I thought about a fire scenario, but that's boring. You just have to know where the exits are, and let the fire fighters deal with it.

If I was stuck at school, I'd probably head to the science block (plenty of heavy equipment to bash brains in, as well as stools, which could interlock to form a nice barricade. Also, you can get to the roof easily). If not, the sports hall would do. Cricket bats, baseball bats, etc. If not, DT. They have stools for barricades, and also some weapon type things. If not that, in the new building, all the doors are solid and heavy and can be locked from the inside.

@Wade - Yup. Zombiestic Hypothesism is highly contagious. :D

@Newbs - Ofcourse this is only dealing with short term survival. It doesn't solve your biggest problem, which is that you're stuck in a zombie-infested school.
Luckily, my school has a garden and a green house, so provided we could secure the school and eliminate all infected individuals, longer term survival would be theoretically possible for a small band of survivors. Of course the chance of long term survival drops for each new person you add to the scenario.

It depends... Assuming that some victims would be completely killed by the zombies and don't... for lack of a better word, respawn, then I think we'd be alright, cause there wouldn't be as many of them. You look at zombie movies and stuff, and there's never as many as there should be, which is kinda weird. Not nearly enough undead or corpses. But yeah, as much as there'd be a shitload of corpses, I would assume there would be less undead.
We've got massive freezers and shit with so called "food" in the school canteen, and plenty of corner shops nearby, as well as the co-op and other things on the welly road, as well as town being pretty near, and lots of lootable houses. Also, my school has lots of massive fences and shit, as well as plenty of big heavy doors.

I can't tell you how many times I've made impromptu zombie contingency plans during classes. It's why I never go places with out my scooter and a heavy blunt object.
