In Sixth Form, you get far less stick for being good at your subjects. It's one of several reasons why it's better than the first five years of secondary school.

things like year 7, are those like what grade you are in for the USA? I was wondering that.

Yeh, you guys have a different system. Basically:
Year 7 = Age 11/12
Year 8 = Age 12/13
Year 9 = Age 13/14
Year 10= Age 14/15
Year 11= Age 15/16
Year 12= Age 16/17 (first year 6th Form)
Year 13= Age 17/18 (second year 6th Form)

i am 14 for the whole school year but some people are 15 or will be it. since it is 9th grade i guess america is one grade under your basicaly. so 14/15 is 9th here. of course we onyl go up to 12.
