So yeh, today is the last day to get registered to vote in the UK in time for the election in 3 weeks time, so if you're in the UK and are over 18, you should go do that right now.

You don't even have to know your National Insurance number to register, you can explain why you don't know it, and then your local council should get in touch at some point just to confirm that you are in fact who you say you are.

You also don't have to know who you're voting for yet, or even whether you will vote at all - just make sure that you have the option, just in case you do feel the need to vote when May 7 comes.

For everyone outside the UK, I guess you get to enjoy the show from the outside as our government goes all fucky from May 8 until someone forms a coalition of some sort.

Registered and ready to vote Green! I was considering voting Labour as being the best chance of getting the Tories out, but I've decided to vote for the policies I think are best, not vote tactically.

Now comes the REAL challenge - convince people around you to do the same.

I take it the greens are a good party in Britain? Because here in Australia they're manipulative bastards that care only about their own agenda and pretend to care about other stuff to win the vote. This makes them no different to the other parties... I'm really concerned that when I turn 18 and have to vote I'll have to choose between "Will absolutely destroy our country," "Will absolutely destroy our country," and "We'll wish our country was destroyed."
