Teachers have a nack for this. Everyone talks for 10 minutes instead of doing work. The teacher shuts them up. The teacher rants for double the time the students were talking, about how they were wasting time.

Other parts often included in the "wasting time" rant are:
The "do you know how much time I spend planning each lesson?" minirant.
The "is it worth teaching you?" bit.
And the "if you don't listen now, you'll fail your exams" segment.

Seriously, miss. Just shut up and keep teaching before you lose our attention again.

haha, one of my teachers used to waste like 5 minutes ranting at someone if they were 2 minutes late. He said that if they were 2 minutes late, that's 30 people in the class, so 60 minutes collectively, but he spent 5 minutes shouting, which is 150 minutes collectively... and he was never on time for lessons anyway, the teacher was always late.
