So I was reading an animator talking about their job, and decided to see if any of the good TV animation studios were based in the UK. They weren't.
So, naturally, I did what anyone did, and blamed it on a historical event. Stupid Americans wanting their "freedom", and "independance", and meaning that I can't go over there and get a job doing the thing I really want to do. And their stupid right wing politics making me nervous about going over there anyway, and the fact that their healthcare is so expensive. Ofcourse, that doesn't apply to Canada as much, so I'm just going to get annoyed at them for being used to being cold. I wouldn't get a day off if it snowed an inch, like I would in the UK.
Maybe you could contact Jenny Clements on deviantArt ( http://stressedjenny.deviantart.com/ ). I know she's done some internships with animation studios and lives in Cardiff. Couldn't hurt. :)
@Newbs - I've just looked at their shows. Pretty much all of them are crap, hardly any of them are animated, and those that are seem to be done in Canada, although I do need to look into where the Beano and Aardman have their studios now...
@Tim - I also believe that Walt Disney has an animation studio here in Orlando. ( http://corporate.disney.go.com/careers/studentandcollegeprograms.html ).
If you don't mind sweltering heat, hurricanes, alligators, and cockroaches the size of your index finger, come on over!
@James - lol, no. I'm not getting a booth. I'm going as a visitor. Geez, with the ticket prices, I'd hate to see the price of a table there...
@Nat - Well, my aunt's paying, and at this point, she's already been saving for over a year, so under normal circumstances, I wouldn't be able to either.

@Wade - Yeh, somehow facing the wrath of nature on two fronts on a regular basis doesn't appeal to me.
@Nat - Yeh, with any luck, I should get to experience a small bit of California next year, when (fingers crossed) I go to the San Diego Comicon.
