The fourth panel's more based on my insecurities than it is on reality.

The animation industry isn't really that big, well, the commercially successful parts of it, at least. It seems that a lot of stuff relies on you knowing someone either in the right place, or who knows other people in the right place. So, when I've got a professional storyboard artist who's paying attention to stuff you post, it's incredibly tempting to try and hint at them that they should help you get a job.

In unrelated news, she's actually gonna send me some blank storyboard tests once she's back in work so that I can have a go at it, just as a practice.

In an unrelated question, does anyone know if DHX Media has ever hired someone off the back of a storyboard test, regardless of experience?

Not a clue, but doing some storyboard tests has to be good experience at the very least.
