So yeh, our government recently sold off the Royal Mail - one of the few profitable bits of nationalised industry that we have - for far less than it was worth. I don't see how that's supposed to earn the country more money seeing as now the nation's lost a significant portion of that revenue stream. I may only have a C in Business Studies A Level, but I think I can spot a dumb fucking business decision when I see one.
Like, Cadbury's, I was more against Kraft's takeover because of the principal of the thing, and in the end it led to Dairy Milk Oreo, so I can't really complain too much.
But this? This is just our dumb corrupt government continuing to be dumb and corrupt.
And what's more from what i read the obligation to the customer isn't there any more, there are currently talks about villages and towns receiving mail on a weekly basis and this could in turn mean a biweekly delivery for smaller towns. Which is a load of shit right there.
