So yeh, the corner of the room where my desk is set up happens to be the one part of my room that happens to have an unreliable reach to the wifi - which is a shame, cos when it works, it's really fast. It's just frustrating when I'm doing stuff and having to work around the fact that I lose the connection every 40 mins to an hour.

Hey Tim, you should get AC convertors and make a hardwire ethernet through the mains electrics. Sounds dodgy i know, but promise you its completely legit they sell in them in all computery stores. I got mine last year because i was on the 3rd floor and after i plugged them in i got better internet than all the house. I'll help you with it when i'm at the house if you like, no doubt i'll need to install mine again.

P.s. they will conflict unless we spend ten minutes making sure we verify which set is which, so considering i'll be using them as well we will have to coordinate that :P

Happens all the time! The same thing happens at my school, when I stay at the only WiFi spot, it won't connect me, when I sit down on a bench at the same spot, it connects me. Like what the f*ck?
