So a couple of my mates from Northampton are going through a rough patch living situation-wise, because both of their respective parents have turned out to be incredibly judgmental and not very accepting of the fact that they're gay/bi/trans. By the sounds of it, they seem more concerned with their own reputation than they do over Marsh and Chris' wellbeing. And considering another of my friends who's closet trans is watching this unfold, it's not exactly going to warm them up to the idea of coming out.

So to any parents who are not ok with their kids being LGBTQ: Grow the fuck up - your kid's life isn't about being your paper cut-out clone. I may not be religious, but if you are, then listen to your damn religion. My bet is that your chosen source of universal justice is much more merciful to someone who doesn't make their kids want to escape them.

Also, Leviticus is old testament - if you want to fight LGBTQ rights on the basis of Old Testament scripture, then stop eating bacon and seafood, and go cut your own foreskin off without anesthetic in a tent in the desert.

This is what irritates me about lots of other Christians. They treat the bible as if it were the law book. Even some of my fellow Catholic's do this! They say, "Oh, the bible says it's a sin to be gay."
NO, no it doesn't. Gay acts are sinful, but being so is not. If you read something like the, oh, I dunno, THE ACTUAL LAWBOOK OF CATHOLICS (catechism) You would KNOW that we do NOT believe being gay is a sin. Immoral acts, as always, is a sin.
*sigh* Sometimes, watching my fellow Catholic's makes me cringe a little...
